Second Chances...Not Three or Four

Second chances...we have all had to make that choice at one time or another...everyone has had a bad day from time to time and maybe things were said in the heat of the moment which caused a rift...what will you do? Will you stay mad forever or will you let go of the negative energy?

If you open your mind up to giving someone a second chance, you may realize that you were looking at this person all wrong. Maybe your perception of this person is that they are snobby or rude - but in reality they are just shy and awkward. If you give the relationship time to bloom you may just find something wonderful.

Just keep in mind there are certain situations where second chances will be hard work and they will take time and patience, especially if it's to repair a 'broken' relationship.

Just remember be honest with yourself about the situation.

We are only talking about second chances - if you have already given a third and a forth and a fifth - and you can see that this toxic pattern continues; then you need to recognize what is happening, make peace with it, and move on.

Don't lie to yourself; if you see this pattern of behavior you must do something to change the outcome from the last 20 times it has happened. As painful as it may be to say good-bye at that point; you must consider to do so in order to not become that emotional sponge.

Some relationships are just not healthy ones no matter what is done.

However, no matter what the circumstances are the ultimate goals are love and kindness. Loving others, loving yourself, and treating all, especially yourself, with respect is of the utmost importance.

"Not everyone gets a second chance. If you do get one, take advantage of it because it’s a gift, and it may be something better than you had before!" -Nishan Panwar
